Organization – The Steering Committee is responsible for setting the 3DIC’s strategic direction

The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute is responsible for the structure and organization of the 3D Innovation Center (3DIC). The 3DIC Berlin is planned to operate for an initial five year period with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) for the start-up phase. Membership of the center is possible through a partnership agreement. Partners of the 3DIC can play an active role in the wide range of working groups.



The Steering Committee of the 3DIC, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ralf Schäfer, sets the strategic direction of the center. It establishes and supervises the working groups, and in individual cases may play a consultative role in the acceptance of new partners or guests. The Steering Committee also decides on joint presentations at trade fairs and other such events, and receives regular submissions of results from the working groups.

Members of the Steering Committee are: ARRI Cinetechnik, Carl Zeiss, Deutsche Telekom, imcube labs, EX3D/Marchon3D, Fraunhofer HHI and Fraunhofer IIS, Göcking Konstruktion, Sony Deutschland and Sky Deutschland (status as of Nov. 2012)
